Click here to view Python Pedigree / Mico Chip Confirmation
Nearly all Pythons and
Boas produced here will be micro chipped. These chips are produced by Avid. They are about the size of a grain of rice, and
are implanted under the skin.
A scanner can be used to read the serial number on the micro chip. This is
a valuable tool, for many reasons. Micro chips add value to your Python by enabling you to report your animal lost or stolen,
and recover your animal if found, by using the serial number on the chip, just like any other valuable property. Most animal
control officers and veterinarians around the country have the ability to scan for micro chips.
This also
adds to the value of your animal by allowing you to verify your snake's info for any future potential sequential
buyers. Paper work is often fraudulent, and fabricated. Paper work for one snake can be copied, or swopped and applied to
other snakes. For this reason, I do not provide papers with snakes for the purposes of gender, age, and genetics verification.
All verification is done right here! The micro chip stays in the animal and can not be fabricated or swopped. It is permanent.
These chips are incrypted and can not be copied.
Potential buyers will be able to visit my web site, look
up your snakes serial number, and read that it was infact produced here, when it hatched, when and who it was sold to, gender
of the snakes, and any known or possible genetics. Pics may also be available. To avoid in-breeding, breeders can verify that
the snakes they own were not siblings if either was produced here. The original parents will also be displayed using their
serial numbers. This enables me to know how to better manage snakes that return to my facility later in life. All of this
at no extra cost to the customer.
For breeders and seasoned keepers, this also helps to maintain inventory,
managing snakes by serial number rather than by names is more professional. If a number of snakes were to get mixxed up, or
if the owner became confused as to which snake was which, a simple scan of the chip would resolve the confusion.
These chips are a valuable tool, and can help maintain or add to the value of your snakes if you decide to
sell or trade later on.
These chips are not long distance tracking devices and can not be detected
by scanners more than 6 inches away.
Some chips will only say "encrypted" when scanned
the first time. Additional scans will show the serial number.
